Team Development

Skills Programme for Certification

The Team Development Skills Programme form part of the Further Education & Training Certificate: Generic Management (Qualification 57712) This qualification is offered by LEDISA Academy in the form of 6 Skills Programmes (Study Schools). Skills Programme S11 deals with Team Development.

Team Development Overview

Managing your own time and work processes is essential before you can even attempt to develop your team. Once you have your own time management and work processes well-structured, you are ready to develop those of your team members.

Team Development starts from the day the new recruit is introduced to the department. As the team leader, you are expected to induct the new member in line with your organisation’s code of conduct, and to induct the new addition to the team in the various aspects of career development and occupational learning within your organisation.

Your task as a team leader is never complete. Once you’ve created a sound platform for the team to work from (as outlined above), you will be expected to keep the team motivated.

This Skills Programme will assist you in the application of all these essential Team Development skills!

Skills Programme S11 is the second compulsory Skills Programme (also called a Study School), and consists of the courses (Unit Standards) listed in the table below.
