Education & Training Practitioner Certificate
The Education & Training Practitioner Certificate (National Certificate: Occupationally Directed Education Training & Development Practices – Qualification 50334) is proudly offered by LEDISA Academy in the form of 6 Study Schools (Skills Programmes). All six study schools are compulsory programmes and learners complete the learning programme over a minimum period of 12 months and maximum of 24 months. This Learning Programme consists of 120 Credits on NQF Level 5.
Purpose of this Education & Training Practitioner Certificate
This Education & Training Practitioner Certificate is for those who want to build on a FETC in any field to enter the field of ODETD as a potential career, and have little or no previous exposure to ETD. The qualification will also be valuable for those who may have been practising within the field, but without formal recognition.
What is the minimum entry requirements?
- Communication at NQF Level 4.
- Basic English Literary Skills at NQF Level 4.
- Recognition of Prior Learning: This qualification can be achieved wholly or in part through Recognition of Prior Learning in terms of the defined exit level outcomes and/or individual unit standards.4

Delivery Method & Language
The programme is facilitated in English by a competent subject matter specialist/s, who utilises the following techniques to ensure that the session is practical and experiential: Lecture, Exercises, Discussion, Role Plays, Case Studies, PowerPoint Presentation, Videos, Simulations, and Learner Assessment. Study Methods include workshop training, blended online learning and in-house/on-site training.
Certification
- Upon successful completion, the learner will receive a Letter of Competence.
- Upon verified Competence, the learner will receive a Certificate of Competence as well as a Statement of Results issued by ETDP SETA.
